How do you take your coffee?

When Pack & Send Newmarket were asked by a customer to pick up a coffee machine from Christchurch after a Trade Me sale and deliver it to the buyer in Auckland they were pleasantly surprised and significantly impressed after they discovered exactly what they were moving!!

“This is the type of coffee machine that you would proudly display in your kitchen for all to see and admire” says Newmarket Store Manager Jeremy Blishen.

Pack & Send receives numerous requests from potential purchasers to pick up Trade Me items that are either out of town or the seller only allows pick ups. This was the case with the coffee machine and grinder. With fragile pipes on the coffee machine and a glass bowl on the grinder the seller was hesitant to pack it themselves and therefore listed it as ‘pick up only’.

With Pack & Send’s Store Connect service Jeremy was able to contact the team at Pack & Send Riccarton in Christchurch to arrange the pick up from the seller and pack both the coffee machine and grinder ready for sending to Auckland.

Packing the two items involved the Foam-In-Place packaging that is unique to Pack & Send stores. The coffee machine and grinder were completely encased in a protective foam which absorbs shock and vibration, great for when you’re sending fragile items around the country, or around the world.

“Our customer received the coffee machine a few days following his initial request, via our courier service, and made comment on how well it was packaged. I am sure he will be enjoying a real espresso for many years to come” says Jeremy.
