The PACK & SEND ‘Door-to-Door’ service, covers standard customs clearance and delivery to your door (excluding government charges and taxes). The Door-to-Depot service is for delivery to the depot only. With the Door-to-Depot service, there may be further charges to pay at the destination, which may include terminal handling, storage and documentation fees. At most destinations, you can clear goods by yourself to avoid customs clearance charges, but it requires time to visit the Customs office with your passport, shipping documents and complete the necessary Customs forms.

Air Freight or Sea Freight?
PACK & SEND offers both air freight and sea freight services for personal effects and excess baggage. Experience has found when sending from New Zealand that up to 100 kilograms can sometimes be more economical by air than by sea. Sea freight generally starts to become economical when the size of your shipment approaches 1 cubic metre or 8 shipping cartons (Removalist Boxes 42x44x61cm). You may be able to get together with other friends returning home or moving overseas to consolidate your personal effects and save money.
