Trade Me Car Parts move well on PACK & SEND Freight Service

Send car parts

Over the last six years PACK & SEND Riccarton has moved at least three cars – in parts – which have all been sold on Trade Me.

Engines, body panels and bumper bars, windscreens, complete exhaust systems and most commonly Mag Wheels have all been sent by the team at PACK & SEND Riccarton through the stores General Freight Service

“Most of the car parts are too big for the normal Courier Service due to their size and or their weight, but can easily move through our General Freight service with either a small amount of packaging or placed on a pallet” says Store Manager Andrew Johnson.

Just this week the Riccarton Store picked up a Ford Anglia rear axle and drive shaft for a customer in Auckland, who purchased them on Trade Me for a restoration project.

“One of the benefits of using PACK & SEND is that we can pick up items that are unpacked or require packing that the seller isn’t prepared to do, or are listed as “Pick Up Only” on the Trade Me listing, and get them packed and sent to anyone, anywhere in New Zealand” adds Andrew.

And now it’s not just Kiwis buying car parts on Trade Me. “One of our more unusual car part jobs was sending a VW Kombi Van bench seat to a customer in Perth, Western Australia” says Nathan Paul,PACK & SEND’s National Operations Manager. “The customer couldn’t source what he needed in Australia, so found one on Trade Me then contacted us to pick it up, pack it and then send it to his workshop in Perth”
