Pack & Send Pakuranga Up and Running

Lewis and Kirsty Bavister, Pack & Send Pakuranga Franchisees, are not ones to sit still. In the last four months they have opened the eleventh Pack & Send store in our group, arrange their own wedding in the lovely Bay of Islands and still had time to train for the recent Round the Bays fun run!!

Lewis completed the distance is an impressive 54 minutes with Kirsty further back but fully informed of the recent gossip from the rest of their group. It was great to see their team all sporting Pack & Send singlets to complete the course.

The challenge has now been laid down to the other Pack & Send stores to get out for next years event.

Three new Pack & Send stores in six weeks!!

We welcome three new Pack & Send stores to our network. A busy six weeks saw Pack & Send Newmarket, Thorndon Quay and Pakuranga all open, continuing the steady growth of our franchise brand.

Pack & Send Newmarket opened in early October on Carlton Gore Road and have been busy packing and sending for the local businesses in Newmarket as well as the residential areas of Epsom and Remuera.

Pack & Send Thorndon Quay opened in late October, located next to the Thorndon Fire Station and not far from the impressive Wellington Stadium. Franchisee Roger Tuarau and Store Manager Harman Singh have already begun providing packing and freight services for some government departments and local apartment residents. 

Pack & Send Pakuranga opened last week and is the fourth store to be opened in Auckland. Located on the busy Ti Rakau Drive, Franchisees Kirsty and Lewis Bavister can't wait to open their store and help the people of Pakuranga, Botany and Howick to send anything, anywhere!

Pack & Send Albany take out top award

Garry and Cherry Le Verne from Pack & Send Albany were awarded the Pack & Send New Zealand Franchisee of the Year award for 2011-2012 at the recent Pack & Send New Zealand Connect Day held in Auckland.

Garry and Cherry epitomise what it means to be a Pack & Send Franchisee, going the extra mile for our customers and displaying our "No Limits" culture to ensure the job gets done. The Pack & Send Albany store has shown tremendous growth over the last twelve months, almost triple digit growth, which is a credit to the hard work and effort by Garry and Cherry.

We would like to recognise Garry and Cherry as Pack & Send New Zealand Franchisees of the Year for 2011-2012. Well done!!

Local Business Finalist

It's been a busy time for Garry and Cherry at Pack & Send Albany. Not only picking up our Franchisee of the Year award for 2011-2012 but they were also named as finalists in the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards for 2012.

Garry and Cherry were one of four finalists in the Excellence in Innovation and Improvement category. Attending the Gala Dinner on Friday night, Garry and Cherry rubbed shoulders with the Business Elite of Auckland's North Shore and, although not successul in taking out the category ensured that PACK & SEND continued to be recognised as an innovative brand.

Pack & Send Queenstown delivering for the dogs

Franchisee Greig Garthwaite is supporting Blair Whitaker in his efforts to raise money and awareness for the Aspiring Avalanche Dogs based at Treble Cone near Wanaka.

Blair is spending thirty-one nights, on his own, in a snowcave based at the Remarkables Skifield and is hoping to raise over $20,000 for the purchase of rescue gear.

As part of the fundraising, Blair will auction off his extreme weather gear and other donated items at the end of his month long stay on Trade Me. Greig has offered to pack and send the items to the auction winners.

The store at Pack & Send Riccarton, as well as the staff, was spared by the devastating earthquakes in February last year. Since that dreadful event they have been busy assisting the businesses and people of Christchurch get back on their feet.

Some examples of the work that the team at Pack & Send Riccarton performed:

• Retrieved and delivered over 1500 suitcases, backpacks, laptops and cellphones back to International tourists and business people who were staying in hotels located in the city on the 22nd February
• Supplied over 1000 packing boxes to residents and business owners who had to evacuate their premises.
• Provided packaging materials for the recovery and storage of the irreplaceable stain-glass windows at St Paul's Parish and Wooden Cross atop the Catholic Cathedral.
• Packed and Sent numerous computer servers for Christchurch businesses to various locations around the country, and Australia, so they could continue operating.

• Packed and Sent a large collection of antiques and collectables to Auckland for repair and restoration following damage in the February quake.

be packed for restoration in Auckland.

The team at Pack & Send Riccarton with a mountain of suitcases and bags to be

processed before being returned to their international owners.

Pack & Send Queenstown is please to support Paralympian Adam Hall in his quest for World Cup and Olympic Glory. Franchisee, Greig Garthwaite, jumped at the opportunity to help Adam with the logistics of sending all his racing gear around the world.

"Like any world-class athlete from New Zealand you need to train and compete around the world to stay ahead of the pack. This is a great way to help Adam reach his goals heading into the Paralympic Games in Sochi 2014." says Greig.

Adam has produced some outstanding results in North America over the last few weeks in his various disciplines, culminating in golds in both the Super Combined and Slalom at the World Cup Finals in Canada.
